Cytotoxicity of Astragalus hamosus Phenolic Compounds on Cancer Cell Lines AMJ13 and SK-GT-4

Abstract Astragalus hamosus L. is a globally used herb for treating various diseases. This work was conducted to find out the cytotoxicity effects of phenolic compounds isolated from root (PAR) introduce substitute approach in breast cancer and oesophageal cancer. Herein, determination antioxidant activity PAR extract performed using method 1,1-diphenyl-2-picryl-hydrazyl (DPPH) employing ascorbic acid as positive control. Moreover, its toxicity on liver kidneys albino mice assessed. The acute studied model addition two cell lines AMJ13 SK-GT-4 representing cancers, respectively an MTT assay. finding this study indicated that demonstrated improved activity. Furthermore, results revealed no death or behavioral changes among treated animals. Interestingly, kidney tissues animals displayed normal features.
